Il Gattopardo - rules of engagement for artists at the residency il Gattopardo
We are delighted to host you and fellow artists at the artists residency ‘il Gattopardo’ in Liguria, Italy.
To create and maintain an inclusive, safe and enjoyable working and living environment for each and every participant, we kindly ask you to take the following guiding principles into consideration and raise any issues or concerns you may with the following:
- we always treat everyone with respect and honour one another's privacy.
- we involve each other in our daily dealings and are sensitive to possible language and other (cultural) barriers. The larger the number of participants, the more important this becomes. Let’s make sure no one is left out!
- we respect each others habits, beliefs, sensitivities and sexual orientation.
- we equally share the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning and other chores during our stay (f.e. filling the stoves with pellets, taking out the garbage). We keep the residency neat and tidy and take one another's expectations with regard to these issues into consideration.
- we resolve differences and misunderstandings in a open, cooperative and constructive manner. If anyone feels this is unsatisfactory, we kindly ask you to alert the owners as soon as possible so that we can find a satisfactory solution.
- we we are careful not to damage the building, the furniture and any other items that belong to the residency or the surroundings. We do not make irrevocable changes to the building or surroundings without prior permission. (f.e. painting of walls, cutting down trees, etc.)
- we respect the natural environment ( we do not throw away cigarette butts outside) and the residency is a smoke-free environment.
- we coordinate any visits of a friend, partner or significant other with the other residents and any visit should not interfere with the work of others. A visit of someone should be limited to two days unless there are special circumstances.

Nous sommes ravis de vous accueillir, ainsi que d'autres artistes, dans la résidence d'artistes « il Gattopardo » en Ligurie, Italie.
Afin de créer et de maintenir un environnement de travail et de vie inclusif, sûr et agréable pour chaque participant, nous vous demandons de prendre en considération les principes directeurs suivants et de faire part de toute question ou préoccupation que vous pourriez avoir à ce sujet :
- nous traitons toujours tout le monde avec respect et respectons la vie privée de chacun.
- nous nous impliquons mutuellement dans nos activités quotidiennes et sommes sensibles aux éventuelles barrières linguistiques et autres barrières (culturelles). Plus le nombre de participants est élevé, plus cet aspect est important. Veillons à ce que personne ne soit exclu !
- nous respectons les habitudes, les croyances, les sensibilités et l'orientation sexuelle de chacun.
- Nous partageons équitablement les responsabilités en matière de cuisine, de nettoyage et d'autres tâches pendant notre séjour (par exemple, remplir les poêles de granulés, sortir les poubelles). Nous veillons à l'ordre et à la propreté de la résidence et prenons en considération les attentes des uns et des autres à cet égard.
- nous résolvons les différences et les malentendus de manière ouverte, coopérative et constructive. Si quelqu'un estime que cela n'est pas satisfaisant, nous vous demandons d'alerter les propriétaires dès que possible afin que nous puissions trouver une solution satisfaisante.
- Nous veillons à ne pas endommager le bâtiment, le mobilier et tout autre objet appartenant à la résidence ou à ses environs. Nous n'apportons pas de modifications irrévocables au bâtiment ou à l'environnement sans autorisation préalable. (p.ex. peinture des murs, abattage d'arbres, etc.)
- nous respectons l'environnement naturel (nous ne jetons pas les mégots de cigarettes à l'extérieur) et la résidence est un espace non-fameur.
- nous coordonnons toute visite d'un ami, d'un partenaire ou d'une personne significative avec les autres résidents et toute visite ne doit pas interférer avec le travail des autres. La visite d'une personne doit être limitée à deux jours, sauf circonstances particulières.

Il Gattopardo – Verhaltensregeln für KünstlerInnen im Künstlerhaus il Gattopardo
Wir freuen uns, Sie und Ihre KünstlerkollegenInnen im Künstlerhaus „il Gattopardo“ in Ligurien, Italien, begrüßen zu dürfen.
Um für alle Teilnehmer ein integratives, sicheres und angenehmes Arbeits- und Lebensumfeld zu schaffen und zu erhalten, bitten wir Sie, die folgenden Leitprinzipien zu berücksichtigen und etwaige Probleme oder Bedenken an folgende Adresse zu richten:
- Wir behandeln alle stets mit Respekt und achten die Privatsphäre der anderen.
- Wir beziehen uns gegenseitig in unseren täglichen Umgang ein und sind sensibel für mögliche sprachliche und andere (kulturelle) Barrieren. Je größer die Teilnehmerzahl, desto wichtiger wird dies. Lasst uns sicherstellen, dass niemand ausgeschlossen wird!
- Wir respektieren die Gewohnheiten, Überzeugungen, Empfindlichkeiten und die sexuelle Orientierung der anderen.
- Wir teilen uns die Verantwortung für das Kochen, Putzen und andere Aufgaben während unseres Aufenthalts (z. B. das Befüllen der Öfen mit Pellets, das Herausbringen des Mülls) gleichermaßen auf. Wir halten die Residenz sauber und ordentlich und berücksichtigen die Erwartungen der anderen in Bezug auf diese Fragen.
- Wir lösen Differenzen und Missverständnisse auf offene, kooperative und konstruktive Weise. Wenn jemand der Meinung ist, dass dies nicht zufriedenstellend ist, bitten wir Sie, die EigentümerIn so schnell wie möglich zu benachrichtigen, damit wir eine zufriedenstellende Lösung finden können.
Wir achten darauf, das Gebäude, die Möbel und alle anderen Gegenstände, die zur Residenz oder der Umgebung gehören, nicht zu beschädigen. Wir nehmen keine unwiderruflichen Änderungen am Gebäude oder der Umgebung ohne vorherige Genehmigung vor (z. B. Streichen von Wänden, Fällen von Bäumen usw.).
Wir respektieren die natürliche Umwelt (wir werfen keine Zigarettenkippen auf den Boden) und die Residenz ist eine rauchfreie Umgebung.
- Wir stimmen Besuche von FreundenInnen, PartnernInnen oder LebensgefährtenInnen mit den anderen Bewohnern ab und achten darauf, dass die Arbeit anderer nicht beeinträchtigt wird. Ein Besuch sollte auf zwei Tage begrenzt werden, es sei denn, es liegen besondere Umstände vor.
